At the end of this unit, the student will be able to:

| Synopsis: | The professional placement is an opportunity to develop workplace skills whilst carrying out a role closely related to one that a graduate would undertake in an organisation.
The placement is normally for a minimum period of 44 weeks, so experience gained will be considerable and skills will usually be improved to a significant extent.
Being in a professional environment will help you develop a deeper understanding of the world of work, and how to optimise the degree experience for your career aspirations.

| Content: | The nature of work undertaken will vary considerably between individual students. However, there will be general challenges of self-motivation, encountering novel situations and developing relationships with colleagues and/or consumers. The work will be carried out at an approve premises of a Placement Provider in the UK, or overseas.
