By the end of the unit you should be able to:
Critically evaluate the main theoretical and empirical work conducted in the field of psychology of creativity Appraise methodology within the field and be able to evaluate the validity and robustness of multiple methodologies Formulate new hypotheses and/or theories within the field of study Apply understanding to plans regarding how to design and conduct studies in the field of psychology of creativity Critically apply scientific knowledge and develop recommendations on how to foster creativity in individuals, groups, schools and organizations Formulate ideas as to how creativity can be trained and measured in applied settings Identify the barriers that exist to fostering and implementing creativity across a variety of contexts Implement creativity in individuals, groups, schools and organizations |
Synopsis: | Explore how we define and introduce creativity across a variety of contexts and perspectives.
You will explore the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural mechanisms within creativity, and investigate the consequences of creativity to individuals, groups, schools and organisations.
Youll work to develop a critical awareness of the scientific theories and findings on creativity, and learn about practical recommendations on how to facilitate creativity. |
