Synopsis: "Critically analyse a key text in the field of political studies. Through in-depth engagement with the text itself, and in-class debate, you will gain a detailed understanding of the arguments of the text itself and the context within which it was produced. You will explore these areas in the context of its influence on the discipline of political studies."

Content: In this unit, lecturer and student explore side by side the nuances and key themes of one key work in Political Studies. This involves both a detailed reading of the text, and in-depth engagement with the authors that influenced that text as well with those that were influenced by it.
