Learning Outcomes: |
By the end of this unit you will be able to:
� Demonstrate a good understanding of the relations between EU member states and between the EU and other international actors;
� Analyse the political debate within the EU over the main policies being developed;
� Examine the political dynamics and implications of the EU's global role from the perspectives of the Member States.
� Examine the challenges facing the European continent as the process of enlargement continues and while Euroscepticism undermines it;
� Select and use evidence, data and information from a variety of secondary and primary sources;
� Planning/conduct/reporting of non-quantitative research
� Critically explore key theories and concepts of European politics and European integration;
� Demonstrate self-organisation and time-management skills.

Synopsis: | Analyse some of the main policies, debates and actors that impact Europe and its relations, and how these interact.
Examples of the topics you�ll cover include:
- policies: enlargement, migration, and security
- debates: Brexit and public opinion engagement
- actors: EU, Russia, Turkey, UK, Ukraine, and the Balkan countries
You�ll view Europe primarily in the context of the EU, but you�ll also look at specific states like the UK.
