Learning Outcomes: By the end of the unit, students will be able to: - Identify a research area and research question and design an academic research project investigating and addressing this question. - Demonstrate a critical appreciation of contemporary or emerging issues in organisational management, applying both academic and practitioner perspectives in the context of current and predicted conditions facing organisations. - Identify a research area and research question, and design a research project to investigate and conclude on this question. - Execute the above design and report on the project while demonstrating a critical appreciation of contemporary or emerging issues in organisational management, and applying both academic and practitioner perspectives in the context of current and predicted conditions facing organisations.


Synopsis: Independently study a research question and area of interest to you. This is a research project, with guidance from a supervisor. The Advanced topics in management unit in Semester 1 will have exposed you to the latest thinking in various research areas of management. This and other themed units that you may have studied will help you choose the focus of your individual project.
