Synopsis: | Design and undertake an independent dissertation research project on a sports performance related topic.

Content: | Development of an independent research project: Research design; ethical consideration; identifying potential real-world impact.
Literature searching: Systematic approaches; categories of literature; online search; manual search.
Data analysis: Methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis appropriate for individual research projects.
Communication of findings: Structure; formatting; presentation of data; effective use of tables and figures; appendices.
