Synopsis: | Explore advanced statistical analysis techniques using professional software.
You'll learn how to collect, analyse and interpret qualitative data, and how to synthesise qualitative and quantitative data. These skills will enable you to analyse and address more advanced hypotheses. |
Content: | This unit will provide a step-by-step overview of advanced psychological research methods in a practical and jargon-free manner. It comprises of seminar sessions providing a broad overview to each topic before students have the opportunity to apply their learning with real data sets in computer workshop sessions. The overall objective here is equip students with a background in advanced psychological research methods so they can confidently apply the correct data analyses to their specific research questions. To do so, we will walk students through a number of common quantitative and qualitative analyses, from data entry, through to analytic methods, through to interpretation and beyond. |
