Synopsis: | Work within a small group to conduct a research project.
Your group will:
- develop a research project proposal
- submit an ethics application
- collect data to support the research proposal
You will work independently to complete data analysis and interpretation to produce a final research project report. You'll present and defend its contents to a scientific panel.
Your group will benefit from supervision and guidance from your project supervisor. |
Content: | This unit provides students with the opportunity to design, conduct and report a research project as part of a group.�Â
Facilitated by lectures (e.g., ethics) and supervision from relevant academic staff, students will design and collect data as part of a group, and then independently analyse the data and write up their dissertation.� There will be a series of optional activities, which will cover important aspects of research management, implementation, dissemination and translation (e.g., literature searching, data analysis, public engagement, impact, entrepreneurship).� Students will have to attend a minimum of four from six optional sessions depending on the nature of their research and personal needs. |
