Synopsis: | You will gain experience of studying at a university outside the UK and living in another country. You will have the opportunity to enhance personal and linguistic skills (depending on location) as well as developing your knowledge and applications of chemistry. |
Content: | All students participating in SYA have to study for one academic year at the partner university. The precise programme of study will vary considerably depending on the host university but will be agreed in advance with the exchange coordinator and must contain at least 60% chemistry units (overall the equivalent of 50 Bath ECTS credits must be taken). The precise programme of study can involve an in-depth research project and/or attending lectures. You will develop your knowledge of the host language (if appropriate).
You must liaise with the exchange coordinator to agree the programme of study whilst abroad. All units taken abroad must be supported by a transcript or equivalent from the partner university. All units abroad are assessed according to the partner university's assessment criteria. |
