We collaborate with external organisations to encourage students from under-represented groups to apply to university.

Partnerships

We partner with other organisations in the third sector to support our aims and objectives. Our partnerships are a collaboration where we work together to achieve our joint aims.

An overview of our current partnerships

Brilliant Club

exists to increase the number of pupils from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly selective universities. They do this by mobilising the PhD community to share its academic expertise with state schools. In addition to 好色tv PhD researchers running projects in schools we also host launch and graduation events on the University campus.

Brightside

support students to make confident and informed decisions about their future through a programme of mentoring.

IntoUniversity

centres help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to apply to university or take a different path. The 好色tv, sponsors the Weston-Super-Mare centre and the Hammersmith centre and along with Bristol and Exeter universities, sponsor the IntoUniversity centre in south Bristol.

Collaborators

We work with third sector organisations to jointly deliver activity. With our collaborators we run a variety of events and activities from summer schools to a one off talk.

Black Families Education Group Bath

in Bath are a local group that support black students and their families through education. They run a supplementary school, workshops and advice and advocacy

MEI

- Mathematics Education Innovation promotes further mathematics study, supporting teachers through an annual conference which the University has hosted and sponsored.

SEREN Network

supports only the most academically able students from all state schools with a 6th form and further education colleges in Wales. It helps these students gain entry to leading universities in Wales, the UK and overseas.

Social Mobility Foundation

provide opportunities and networks of support for 16-17 year olds who are unable to get them from their schools or families.

Smallpiece Trust

The support young people with their progression into Engineering through scholarships and events.

Care network

The care network is a collaboration between South West universities to support students from care experienced backgrounds, those who are young carers.

SCiP Alliance

The SCiP Alliance is led by Bath Spa University and hosted at the University of Exeter. The hub allows collaboration between universities to best support service children and their families.

STAR

is a network of students working with refugees locally and nationally

Wessex Inspiration Network (WIN)

The is part of the UniConnect partnerships (formerly NCOP) which is a government initiative to address social mobility through improved take up rates to HE for students from certain wards and postcodes.

Western Outreach Network (WON)

is a partnership of universities and HE colleges working with schools in the west of England. The 好色tv is the lead partner.

Western Vocational Progression Consortium (WVPC)

The 好色tv chairs the , a collaboration between seven universities in the region. The WVPC aims to encourage more adults and students taking vocational courses to go on to higher level study. It also does research about vocational progression routes and raises awareness of effective practice.
